Notice of Relocation of Primary and Secondary school
Thank you for your continued support of Laurus International School of Science.
Laurus International School of Science (“Laurus”) will be relocating its Primary school and Secondary school, which will open next year, to a new building at Tokyo Joshi Gakuen in the spring of 2023. We have been looking for a suitable location for the Primary school for the past five years, and we are pleased to announce our plans.
1.Purpose and Background of the New Location
Due to the continuous increase in the number of students at Laurus over the past five years, the Primary school at Mita Campus has become too small. In order for our students to continue their studies at Laurus, we have decided to move to a new building at Tokyo Joshi Gakuen.
After the relocation, we will develop a state-of-the-art ICT and learning environment for the development of human resources who are global innovators, and we will also collaborate with Tokyo Joshi Gakuen in the use of shared facilities such as the gymnasium, tennis courts, library, and cafeteria. In addition, we are considering the realization of a cutting-edge curriculum that is unparalleled in Japan and abroad, including the provision of education and career support from experts who are active on the front lines.
2. Outline of the new campus (planned)
Location: 7F-10F, Tokyo Joshi Gakuen, 4-1-30 Shiba, Minato-ku, Tokyo
Curriculum: Cambridge International Curriculum, Laurus Innovator Education
3. Future schedule (planned)
(1) September 2022: Secondary school opens
(2) Spring 2023: Primary school and Secondary school relocate
(3) Summer 2024: Opening of the High school (tentative)
There is a possibility that the schedule may change in the future, but we will keep you updated on the progress and specific curriculum.
