International Preschool/ Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher

Contract Type: Full-time
Job Location: Preschool & Kindergarten Locations

  • Laurus International School of Science requires enthusiastic and experienced individuals for the position of Kindergarten/Preschool Teacher, working with young learners aged from 1.5 – 6 yrs old. Candidates must be native English speakers. Applicants should have a background in early childhood education and teaching experience in a school setting.

    Preference will be given to teachers currently in Japan with more than three years experience.

    Japanese language ability is not a requirement.

  • Candidates must be native English speakers.

  • Monday–Friday , 8:30-17:30 with a one-hour break (various shift times available at 8 hrs work /1 hr break).

    40 hours per week

  • ¥280,000 – ¥350,000 per month per month
    (Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)

International Preschool/ Kindergarten Nursery Teacher

  • Laurus International School of Science requires enthusiastic and experienced individuals for the position of Kindergarten/Preschool Nursery Teacher, working with young learners aged from 1.5 – 6 yrs old. Our Nursery teachers help establish and maintain a safe learning environment which promotes curiosity, growth, and joy for our young learners.

    Candidates must be fluent English speakers and eager to assist the homeroom teacher in the classroom.

    Preference will be given to applicants currently in Japan with more than three years experience. Japanese language ability is not a requirement.

  • Candidates must be native English speakers.

  • Monday–Friday , 8:30-17:30 with a one-hour break (various shift times available at 8 hrs work /1 hr break).

    40 hours per week

  • ¥200,000 – ¥250,000 per month per month
    (Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)

  • We welcome you to work as a childcare professional at Laurus International School of Science.

    Through interactions with native English teachers, we not only develop communication skills through English, but also place emphasis on the field of science, providing childcare that maximizes children's independence and curiosity.

    1. English-based childcare
     Morning English lessons, science-focused activities in the afternoon
    2. Support for parents
    3. Managing children's health and safety
    4. Support for foreign instructors' lessons
    5. Planning and preparation of events
    6. Bus transportation, tour escorting (on a shift basis)

    You will spend the day in English with a native teacher.

    We provide English conversation training and childcare English training.

    • Childcare worker qualification

    • Daily conversational English ability

    • Preferred: Experience living abroad, such as studying abroad or working holidays

  • Monday - Saturday

    Varies depending on shift between 7:30-18:00 (8 hours actual work)

  • 220,000 yen to 250,000 yen per month

  • This job supports the operation of our international school.

    Specific duties include responding to inquiries and applications for admission, accepting trial admissions and admissions, managing various information, etc. This position supports the school's operations so that instructors and childcare staff can focus on education and students can grow while having fun.

    Job duties:
    Communicate in English with native English teachers of various nationalities and convey the value of the school to parents and students. In addition to the tasks listed below, you will also be tasked with administrative work.

    Approach parents who have contacted us with quality information and service:
    As there are inquiries throughout the year, your role will introduce trial admission and enrollment programs such as science classes.

    Schedule management for students, teachers, and childcare staff

    Each school has about five native teachers. By keeping track of the grades at the time of admission and daily lesson progress, we help manage the classes (lessons).

    Responding to inquiries regarding enrollment, handling
    Enrollment applications, accepting applications, explaining details, handling parent questions, etc

    • Native-level Japanese and business document writing skills

    • Business-level English proficiency with a TOEIC score of 800 or higher (however, as we place emphasis on practical skills, please do not be concerned with your TOEIC score
