Accident Occurrence at Shiba Campus
Two students and a teacher suffered burns and other injuries when alcohol ignited during a Year 6 (Grade 5) science class in the 9th floor, science room at Laurus International School of Science Primary / Secondary on Thursday 31st October. The three were immediately taken to hospital by ambulance. After that, three students and one teacher who may have inhaled the smoke were also taken by ambulance.
After the accident, the students were evacuated to parks and other places, and no injuries have been confirmed for other students at this time.
We will strengthen our safety measures and work to prevent such accidents from happening again.
We apologize deeply for the concern caused to the students and their parents by this accident.
