Incident Update

We would like to thank you for your continued understanding and cooperation with our school's educational activities. Once again, we would like to express our deepest apologies for the incident that occurred on 31 October during an experiment. We take the incident very seriously and have been implementing drastic reforms to prevent recurrence and to improve our safety management system, and we would like to provide you with a summary of these reforms.

Main initiatives to strengthen safety measures

1. comprehensive verification, improvement and strengthening of the safety management system

External experts were invited to inspect and evaluate the safety management system. Under the guidance of the experts, all aspects of evacuation procedures, emergency response and classroom safety management were verified and improvements are being made as soon as possible. Thereafter, we will continue to receive regular advice from external experts to further strengthen our safety management system.

2. Strengthening emergency response

An internal Safety Committee consisting of teachers and staff has been established to ensure that the initial response in the event of an emergency is swift and appropriate.

The Safety Committee will strengthen the emergency response by developing response procedures for various emergency situations and clarifying the roles of teaching staff.

3. Expansion of safety education and training

Safety management training for teachers and staff will be conducted on a regular basis and safety education for students will be strengthened. We will also increase the number of evacuation drills for various realistic situations (e.g. fire, earthquake, intrusion of suspicious persons, etc.) so that teachers, staff and students are prepared to act calmly in an actual emergency.

4. A rigorous, solution-oriented corporate culture

By raising safety awareness among all teaching staff, and by adopting an approach that incorporates a range of views on problem-solving, we maintain our commitment to seeking the best possible solution and working towards a system in which concerns are addressed immediately.

Safety remains our highest priority. We will continue to work diligently, assess our progress, and implement best practices to create a safe environment for everyone. The ongoing cooperation and vigilance of all staff members are crucial to these efforts, and we thank everyone for the dedication to this important mission.
